Styles of Amish buggies vary in each community. While black is the standard color, white is used in some parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania. Warning lights and slow moving vehicle signs are locally regulated. Bicycles and roller skates have been allowed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois for years. They have only recently started to be allowed in Kalona, Iowa, but I have not yet seen these in other parts of Iowa. |
